Live, Local Storytelling

Whether you’re seeking a fun girls' night, a romantic date, or simply something fun to do on a Tuesday night, Homewood Stories invites you to experience the impact of true stories, from the heart, told by live tellers. Discover the magic that happens when we quietly sit and listen, really listen, to the stories of others.

Join us for a memorable evening of storytelling where genuine connections are made. On the second Tuesday of each month, Homewood Stories allows you, for a couple of hours, to step away from the noise of daily distractions, cell phones, and computer screens and enter a welcoming space ideal for promoting genuine conversations and human connection.

Storytelling changes us. You will be surprised! You won’t be disappointed!

We all have stories to tell, and perhaps you will be moved to tell one of yours.

Sit. Listen. Tell.

We hold our shows at the Flossmoor Community House located at 847 Hutchinson Road in Flossmoor, Illinois.

We gather on the second Tuesday of each month.

Doors open at 6:30

Show starts at 7:30

Bring what ever food or drinks you would like to help you have a wonderful experience.

There is a $15 charge for the show.

Payment is cash at the door. No checks or credit cards please.

The money we receive pays the rent for our venue and supports our storytellers, and keeps Homewood Stories strong.

Where to find us

All of our shows honor the memory of the founder of Homewood Stories, Dr. Karen O’Donnell

Tell me the facts, and I’ll learn. Tell me the truth, and I’ll believe. But, tell me a story, and it will live in my heart forever.
